Bagadonuts Said: A MUST friend for any Lonely Parakeet ( Aug. 21st 2010 )
I purchased this toy parakeet for my room-mate's lonely white budgie, called Coconut. First day, he just checked it out, as I placed it on the outside, up against his cage so as not for him to feel threatened. After three days, he bonded with this life-like toy and it has now become his "Best buddy in his whole world". This toy is a MUST for anyone wanting a friend for a lonely parakeet. The real parakeet (Coconut)will now only take a nap sitting in front of his buddy, who will talk to him if he moves around. (motion and light activated)
The toy is very durable if left alone to do it's thing, which is shake it's head and tweet. When the toy is removed at the end of the day to cover the cage, little Coconut will tweet and look around for his little buddy. I also found a very reasonable place online in which to purchase the button batteries. I suggest to everyone to search for there is a big difference is prices at times, with free shipping.
A. Eaton Said: Great friend for my bird!! ( Jun. 28th 2009 )
I bought this for my cockatiel because I did not want him to get lonely. It took him a couple days to warm up to it, but he enjoys it now. The motion activated feature is what makes it so realistic.

I purchased 6 Breezy Singers a few years ago and love them! My 4 year old granddaughter loves to play with them and they have been surprisingly durable! The only downside was the cost of replacing the batteries, but I found a website that has a great price on them. I finally just put them in a large decorative bird cage and they look fantastic! The best thing is that they sound like real birds, but I don't have the mess!!!

This is a cute parakeet-- Not really a toy since it pretty much just sits there and chirps when it detects noise. I bought it for my son after we got a real parakeet for the family and he wanted his own. It is pretty lifelike (as life-like as you can get in plastic)-- my only criticism would be that it sort of "clicks" when the tail and head move back into position, it kind of ruins the life-like affect.... but it's not expensive, so I guess what do you want?
