Question #1:

Would a polytunnel be suitable for the Melbourne climate?

I want to build a polytunnel in my backyard for growing herbs, vegetables, etc.

Just wondering if it would be rather pointless as the main reason (as far as I can tell) for use would be to keep out the cold, as in England and the like. It does get cold (by my standards), but I don't know if it's cold enough to warrant a polytunnel. I'm about 30 minutes from the city by train, in the south to south-east area. Not by the water or anything either.

I love the idea of being able to keep away the birds and also some of the more harsh rain and wind.


What do you think?

Also, where would I go about finding supplies to build one? Instructions? Premade ones?
Have you found any websites with detailed instructions?

Canary agression question?

I have herd that canaries are normally very agressive birds and I know that my friend's canary killed it's cage mate almost immediately after they got it. My question is that if I were going to pick up two canaries bout a half hor away from my house, would I need to purchase another cage? Or do you think they could tolerate each other until I got home? If it matters, they would be coming from the same home and they are less than a year old.

Am I a bad person? Am I a murderer?

I was at a friends party and had a vial of LSD. I dropped about ten drops in this guys drink and he ended up jumping of the penthouse balcony thinking he was a bird or something. I hated the guy because he was a jerk to this girl at the party. I obviously just kept quiet about the whole thing as the one witness who could have seen anything was dead anyway. I looked over at his girl friend, who by the way was in tears, and said I was sorry. I did mean it then.

Over the next few days I became friends with her and we slept together. I have been sleeping with her since and it has developed into a relationship. She has no clue I killed her boyfriend. I feel that him accidentally jumping of the building was the best thing to have ever happened to me and in a way it all worked out to favour me.

This was just the beginning. Here is where it gets twisted... So my relationship with this girl has been going on for three months now and I am now having feeling towards the sister of the guy I accidentally killed as I had slept with her once. I don't love the girl I am with anymore but feel guilty leaving her after putting her through hell already. I was having a drink with a very good friend of mine and a friend of a friend of Viola (the sister of the LSD victim). Small world I guess. I accidentally mentioned the LSD thing for the first time since the incident and Viola finds out from her that I killed her brother. She was threatening to tell my current girl (Sarah). Since Sarah knows Viola as she dated her brother, this was a big mess. I go over to Viola's house and begin to tell her that I was only joking at drinks and she refuses to believe me as it was supposedly very unlikely for that to be the case as no toxology report was ever done. People thought he was just drunk.

Now understand that I am a nice guy who has actually never been in a fight and hate violence especially towards women. She begins to hit me. Pretty hard that to for a girl. It reaches a point where I could not bear it. Not the pain but the humiliation. I grabbed her and through her against the wall. Her head hit the corner of the fish tank and she collapsed. She is now in a coma in the hospital. I have thought plenty of the current situation I am in. I could never hurt anyone like that but it happened. She wakes up and I go to jail for murder and assault. I don't know what to do or say to everyone when she wakes up. Should I turn myself in now for murder and assault? Or wait till she wakes up?
Will keep posting updates as to what her condition is in hospital. As of now she has some pretty serious head damage and is in a coma. Over the next few days I expect her to wake up or die.
Murder by negligence through LSD intoxication and his stupidity. And assault on her.
I did not mean to kill him. It just happened that way. If I had ten drops of LSD I would just act crazy dancing. Not jump of a building.
The only way I can stop this from getting worse is by killing her while she is still in a coma.

My cockatiel is free to roam the house but he rarely flies and is mostly at the cage area. But we have a ceiling fan and he sees it when I turn it on but I fear that he may fly into it one day.
